PACER P15 Rust Converter Primer & Sealer 1L Rust Neutraliser Primer

PACER Rust Converter Primer & Sealer P15 is a tannic acid-based, dual-action formula that chemically transforms existing rust into a stable, inert black coating while simultaneously sealing the substrate, providing a primed base for further paint systems. Ideal when mechanical removal is impractical.

• Converts rust chemically: transforms iron oxide into an inert, stable barrier
• Acts as primer & sealer: no separate primer required before topcoats
• Paintable surface: compatible with single-pack acrylics, enamels and 2K coatings
• One-step application: apply directly to rusted steel, galvanised metal, fittings, tools

Application

• Time to react / cure: Initial reaction in 3-24 hours depending on rust severity; full cure ~24 hours
• Coverage: around 5–10 m² per litre on average rusted metal surfaces
• Usage instructions: Remove loose rust, oil and contaminants; stir well; apply via brush, roller or spray; allow surface to turn black before overcoating
• Intended use: For treatment of medium to heavy rust on steel or galvanised metal when full removal is impractical (roof gutters, fencing, vehicle parts, structural metal).
• Topcoat compatibility: Compatible with enamels, acrylics and two-pack systems after curing
• Limitations: Not a substitute for full sand-blast where structural integrity is compromised; avoid application in freezing or very humid conditions
