SEPTONE Rust Prime Industrial Converter Primer & Sealer 4L

Septone Rust Prime converts/primes and seals rusted metal surfaces prior to painting so that it is ready for subsequent priming and top-coating.

It can also be used on a number of marine applications. This product will provide temporary protection against rust, but should not be considrered as a corrosion resistant coating. Primer coats and top coats should be applied as soon as possible after the surface has been treated with Rust Prime (within 4 weeks).

Applications

  • rusted galvanized roofs or surfaces,
  • ornamental ironwork,
  • fencing,
  • structural steel,
  • gutters,
  • sheds,
  • rusted nuts and bolts and
  • hand tools

Not recommended for use in the repair of automotive panels.

Product shelf life.

On delivery the item was checked out and found to be very much off and had tuned quite solid to the point where it would not pour from the container, I then cut the top off the container to inspect the contents and found it to be quite solid and lumpy, I proceeded to mixing the contents with a paint mixer for quite some time to get it to thin down to a liquid once again, i am still testing the product out at this stage to see if it is working effectively, I have been using this product for many years now and have not come across the solution going off this bad before, this has become a very expensive purchase if the product fails to meet it's requirements.
