POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint Clear is a high-performance, moisture-cured protective coating designed to prevent rust and corrosion on properly prepared metal surfaces. Its tough, non-porous clear finish creates a protective barrier against water, salt, chemicals and other corrosive contaminants.
Ideal for automotive chassis, underbodies, suspension components, trailers and metal restoration projects, POR-15 can be applied directly to properly prepared rusted, sandblasted or seasoned metal. Its clear finish provides corrosion protection without the solid colour of conventional rust preventive paints, while delivering excellent resistance to chipping, cracking and peeling.
For best results, prepare surfaces using POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser and Metal Prep before applying at least two thin coats. Recoat when the previous coat is dry to the touch but retains slight tack. A UV-resistant topcoat is required for prolonged sunlight exposure. Follow the manufacturer's application and safety instructions.
