Permatex’s High Performance Thread Sealant is formulated specifically for metal, tapered pipe thread fittings. Thread Sealant replaces Teflon® tape and pipe dopes and cures rapidly to withstand up to 10,000 PSI. Prevents galling and protects mated threaded areas from rust and corrosion. Contains PTFE.

Stops leaks

Tried it on my power steering hydraulics and let it dry before testing. Works perfectly. Tried again on a water tap connection but could not let it dry. It dripped for a few hours then stopped. I’m very happy. The key is to let it dry.
