Matrix Edge MS-52 Universal Urethane Clearcoat is a premium high gloss 2K clearcoat designed to deliver exceptional appearance, durability and ease of application across a wide range of automotive refinishing jobs. Its versatile formulation makes it suitable for complete resprays, panel repairs and spot repairs while producing excellent gloss and DOI (Distinctness of Image).

Engineered as part of the Matrix Edge refinishing system, MS-52 provides consistent flow, excellent levelling and long-term durability when used with the recommended Matrix Edge MH-Series hardeners. It is suitable for professional bodyshops requiring a reliable everyday universal clearcoat that performs under a wide variety of workshop conditions.

Application

• Mixing Ratio: Mix 4 parts MS-52 Universal Urethane Clearcoat with 1 part compatible MH-Series Urethane Hardener.
• Compatible Hardeners: MH-43 Premium Hardener, MH-005 Normal Premium Hardener, MH-006 Slow Premium Hardener or MH-008 Very Slow Premium Hardener.
• Intended Use: Suitable for complete resprays, panel repairs and spot repairs.
• Application Method: Apply 2 to 3 single wet coats.
• Compatible Substrates: Matrix Edge Refinish Basecoats and existing OEM finishes.

Technical Data

• Pot Life at 25°C: 30–60 minutes.
• Surface Preparation: Apply over properly cured Matrix Edge basecoats or prepared OEM finishes.
• Spray Gun Setup: 1.3–1.4mm fluid tip.
• Flash Between 1st Coat: 5–10 minutes.
• Flash Between 2nd Coat: 10–15 minutes.
• Out of Booth: 30–60 minutes depending on temperature.
• Air Dry: Deliver, polish or recoat after 12–24 hours.
• Force Dry: 10 minute purge followed by 30 minutes bake at 60°C. Allow approximately 1 hour cool down before polishing.
• Clean Up: Clean spray equipment immediately after use.
