MATRIX EDGE Acrylic Enamel Topcoat is a high-solids single stage acrylic urethane enamel, a durable automotive topcoat system custom mixed to your selected vehicle colour. Designed for refinishing, restoration and repair work, it delivers excellent gloss, strong coverage and long-lasting performance. Suitable for full resprays, panel repairs and classic vehicle projects requiring reliable colour accuracy and a tough enamel finish.

Note: Use MH-062 Hardener (Normal) to achieve urethane properties, for increased durability and superior application

Application

• Mixing Ratio: Mix 1:10 with compatible MR-Series Matrix Edge Reducers:

MR-0960 (Cool), MR-0970 (Medium), MR-0985 (Hot), or MR-0995 (Very Hot)

*For best results mix: 8 Parts Acrylic Enamel with 1 Part MH-062 Premium Hardener and 10% of the total volume with compatible MR-Series Reducers (8:1:10%)*

*Choose Reducer based on panel temperature and size of part being refinished*

• Intended Use: Suitable for automotive exterior refinishing and component painting.
• Application Method: Spray 2 to 3 medium wet coats allowing 20 minutes flash
  between coats. 
  
• Coverage: Coverage varies depending on colour selection, film build and spray technique.
• Finish Quality: Designed to deliver consistent colour match and durable automotive finish results.

POT LIFE at 25°C (77°F)
- Sprayable up to 4 hours with MH-062
- 7 days when mixed without MH-062
Note: Pot life will shorten as temperatures increase. Matrix Edge products are not recommended for use when panel temperature is below 25°C.

 SURFACE PREPARATION
- Surfaces should be prepared using the proper undercoat system following
recommended procedures.
- All surfaces should be final sanded with P320-P500 grit or equivalent.
- Mask all adjacent areas to prevent overspray problems.

FLASH / DRY TIMES
AIR DRY at 25°C (77°F)
- Flash between coats: 20 minutes
- Tape time without activator: Overnight
- Tape time with activator: Overnight
- To deliver: Next Day
FORCE DRY
- Flash before force dry: 20 minutes
- Force Dry time: 30 minutes @ 54°C (130°F)
- To tape after cool down: 1-2 Hours
- To topcoat after cool down: 1-2 Hours
