Matrix Edge MP-233 DTM Surfacer/Sealer is a premium high-build direct-to-metal primer designed for professional automotive refinishing and restoration. It provides excellent adhesion, corrosion resistance and sanding properties while functioning as both a primer surfacer and a sealer, depending on the selected mixing ratio.

Suitable for application directly over properly prepared bare steel, aluminium, galvanised steel, sanded OEM finishes and body fillers, MP-233 delivers outstanding versatility for spot repairs, panel repairs and complete refinishing projects. Its fast-drying formula and smooth sanding characteristics help maximise productivity while producing an excellent foundation for subsequent topcoats.

Application

• As a Primer Surfacer: Mix 4 parts MP-233, 1 part MH-232 DTM Hardener and 1 part compatible Matrix Edge MR-Series Reducer (4:1:1).
• As a Sealer: Mix 4 parts MP-233, 1 part MH-232 DTM Hardener and 2 parts compatible Matrix Edge MR-Series Reducer (4:1:2).
• Compatible Reducers: MR-0960 (Cool), MR-0970 (Medium), MR-0985 (Hot) or MR-0995 (Very Hot).
• Primer Application: Apply 1–3 medium wet coats, allowing each coat to flash until completely dull.
• Sealer Application: Apply 1–2 medium wet coats, allowing each coat to flash until completely dull.
