Matrix Edge MP-233 DTM Surfacer/Sealer Grey is a premium direct-to-metal (DTM) primer designed to provide outstanding adhesion, corrosion resistance and sanding performance. Engineered for professional automotive refinishing, it can be used as either a high-build primer surfacer or a primer sealer depending on the selected mixing ratio.

Fast drying and easy to sand, MP-233 delivers excellent build, smooth application and a high-quality foundation for Matrix Edge basecoats and 2K single-stage topcoats. Suitable for steel, aluminium, fibreglass, body filler, OEM finishes and OEM E-coat, it is an ideal choice for collision repairs, restorations and complete refinishing projects.

Application

• Primer Surfacer Mixing Ratio: 4 Parts MP-233 : 1 Part MA-232 DTM Activator : 1 Part MBR-1100, MBR-1200 or MBR-1300 Reducer (4:1:1 by volume).
• Primer Sealer Mixing Ratio: 4 Parts MP-233 : 1 Part MA-232 DTM Activator : 2 Parts MBR-1100, MBR-1200 or MBR-1300 Reducer (4:1:2 by volume).
• Pot Life: 2–3 hours at 25°C.
• Application: Primer Surfacer: Apply 1–3 medium wet coats. Primer Sealer: Apply 1–2 medium wet coats, allowing each coat to flash dull before applying the next.
• Compatible Topcoats: All Matrix Edge Refinish Basecoats and Matrix Edge 2K Single-Stage topcoats.
