As Step 2 of the KBS 3 Step Total Rust Eradication System, RustBlast prepares bare steel for coatings such as KBS RustSeal and other compatible primers and topcoats. The water-based formula can be applied by brush, spray, roller or sponge and is suitable for automotive, marine, industrial and restoration applications. 

RustBlast not only removes rust but also gently etches clean metal to create an ideal surface profile for maximum coating adhesion. It leaves a protective zinc phosphate layer that improves coating performance while extending rust-free storage time before painting.
