KBS RustBlast is a professional-grade rust remover, metal etch and zinc phosphate pre-primer designed to prepare steel surfaces before painting or coating. It dissolves rust, removes contamination and leaves a zinc phosphate coating that promotes exceptional paint adhesion while helping reduce flash rusting.

As Step 2 of the KBS Total Rust Eradication System, RustBlast prepares bare steel for coatings such as KBS RustSeal and other compatible primers and topcoats. The water-based formula is easy to apply by brush, spray or sponge and is suitable for automotive, motorcycle, marine, industrial and restoration applications. 

RustBlast not only removes rust but also lightly etches clean metal to create an ideal surface profile for maximum coating adhesion. It leaves a protective zinc phosphate layer that improves coating performance and extends rust-free storage times before painting.
