Fertan is a non toxic, non flammable, easily applied rust converter which can be applied over wet or dry rusting areas to provide a surface that can be painted.

It can be used on treated surfaces like galvanised or chromed.

This patented water based product penetrates porus rust and forms iron tannate.

This stuff works and does not contribute to corrosion

I use Fertan on many small jobs to protect metal in a coastal environment. Unlike other converters, Fertan doesn't contribute to corrosion and it's easily overpainted and seems to be highly stable in the long run.
