3M Foam Fast 74 Industrial Spray Adhesive is a professional high-performance aerosol adhesive specifically developed for bonding foam and fabric. Its extremely fast tack and aggressive initial grab make it ideal for upholstery, automotive trimming, furniture manufacturing and other industrial applications where immediate, reliable bonding is required.

Designed to bond flexible urethane and latex foams to themselves and to a wide variety of substrates including wood, metal and many plastics, Foam Fast 74 produces soft, non-dimpling bond lines while maintaining excellent foam tearing strength. The high coverage formula and lace spray pattern provide fast, even application for efficient production and repair work.

The fast-acting formula offers an open bond time of approximately 15 seconds to 30 minutes, allowing flexibility during assembly while producing strong, permanent bonds. It is particularly well suited to upholstery, headliners, acoustic foam, furniture cushions and automotive interior trim. It is not recommended for bonding vinyl.

3M Foam 74 difficult to use and spray nozzle of poor quality

I purchased 3M Foam 74 to install a foam back auto headliner along with other foam/insulation into a vintage car removable hardtop, working on a bench, the top inverted. The 3m spray pattern was not reliable and difficult to control. The 3m product leaked from the spray nozzle onto a painted area and destroyed paint. I was also using Permatex 27828, which I found easier to apply. The 3m Orange did also cause some staining as a result of some splatter which had to be removed with Scotch 700. Despite Forum recommendations to use 3m 74, I found it not fit for purpose. I will not use 3M 74 again.
