Formerly associated with the Black Velvet name, this coating withstands temperatures up to 649°C (1200°F), making it ideal for exhaust manifolds, headers, exhaust pipes and other high-heat metal components.

Its durable flat black finish resists cracking, chipping, peeling and discolouration while providing resistance to weather, salt and moisture. The direct-to-metal formulation is designed for properly prepared surfaces without requiring a separate primer or top coat.

Apply by brush or thin with POR-15 Reducer Solvent for suitable spray equipment. For best results, clean and mechanically prepare the metal before applying thin coats. Follow the manufacturer's drying and heat-curing instructions to achieve maximum coating hardness.

Key Features

Extreme Heat Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 649°C (1200°F).

Durable Flat Black Finish: Resists cracking, chipping, peeling and discolouration.

Direct-to-Metal Protection: Designed for properly prepared metal without a separate primer.

Weather and Moisture Resistance: Provides resistance to salt, moisture and outdoor exposure.

Flexible Application: Brush on directly or thin for spray application using suitable equipment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Brand: POR-15

Product Code: POR44116

Barcode: 051491441162

Type: High-Temperature Protective Paint

Size: 236ml (8 US fl oz)

Colour / Finish: Flat Black / Matte

Suitable For: Exhaust Manifolds, Headers, Exhaust Pipes and High-Temperature Metal Components

Application Method: Brush or Spray; Thin Up to 10% with POR-15 Reducer Solvent for HVLP Spraying

Surface Preparation: Clean, Dry, Mechanically Abraded Metal; Sandblasting Recommended

Compatibility: Direct-to-Metal Coating; Not Compatible with POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating or Other Primers
